BEST SELLING AUTHOR/SCREENWRITER ROBERT LIPARULO RELEASES NEW THRILLER THAT TIES FAITH AND SCIENCE-FICTION TOGETHER

(PRBuzz) July 28, 2012 -- Science-fiction books and movies have been all the rage lately. From Star Wars to Star Trek and this summer's Men In Black III, sci-fi rules the box office and the bookshelves. Rarely, however, does an author combine sci-fi writing with that of deep Biblical history.

Robert Liparulo, a Colorado-based best-selling author, has done just that with his newest work, The 13th Tribe (Thomas Nelson). The book is his latest in the "thriller" genre, and has been met with critical and fan acclaim since its release this spring:

-- "Every reader is in for roller-coaster action, competently done." ¬- Publisher's Weekly
-- "The book can be read as a story of a man's spiritual transition, or it can be read as a fast-paced thriller with fantasy elements. Either way, it's a success." - Booklist
-- "Action-packed and intricately plotted." - Library Journal

Liparulo is currently writing an original screenplay for a major motion picture with director Andrew Davis (The Fugitive), and the follow-up to The 13th Tribe, called The Judgment Stone. Teens also know Liparulo as the author of the massively popular Dreamhouse Kings series of action-adventure books for young adults.

The best-selling author can discuss:
• Why everyone should read The 13th Tribe, not just those interested in history or the Bible
• His process of combing his unique story with scriptural underpinnings
• What we can expect from the highly anticipated sequel to The 13th Tribe
• How novels like his become movies, and the process Hollywood takes in deciding which books make it to the silver screen

Robert Liparulo is the best-selling author of the thrillers Comes a Horseman, Germ, Deadfall and Deadlock in addition to The 13th Tribe and the Dreamhouse Kings series. He also contributed a short story to James Patterson's Thriller, and an essay about Thomas Perry's The Butcher's Boy to Thrillers: 100 Must Reads. Nine of his novels have been purchased or optioned by major Hollywood producers. He writes from his home in Colorado.
