Experts Provide The Recommended Dosage Of Omega-3 Fatty Acids For Kids

Omega-3s are one of the natural supplements that many kids take nowadays, and it is important for parents to know exactly how much they should take.

There are three types of omega-3 fats, namely the ALA or alphalinolenic acid, EPA or eicosapentaenoice acid , and DHA or the docosahexaenoic acid. It is DHA and EPA that are used by the brain and body; for ALA, the body needs to convert it to EPA and DHA.

There are several reasons why omega-3s are essential for a child’s health. One is that they are abundant in the visual receptors, nerve synapses, brain cells, adrenal glands and sex glands, and so they play a major role in the child’s normal growth. Omega-3s are also essential for the biochemical balance of a child’s brain and body. They are believed to essential building blocks for providing children with a strong immune system. What makes omega-3s even more advantageous is that they are believed to help fight inflammation, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as arthritis and heart disease.

Dr. Sears recommends different dosages for different ages. Infants may get 300 mg, while children ages 2 to 3 may get a minimum of 400 mg per day. For children over 4 years old, they may get at least 600 mg per day. Apple Pay enables account holders to make purchases on the go with their mobile devices, including iPhone 6 and Apple Watch for in-store payments, and iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 for payments within apps. Setting up your Passbook app for mobile purchasing with your Apple device is quick and easy.

When using Apple Pay to make purchases, users are protected from hackers because Apple Pay transmits a unique code per transaction. Purchases made by Apple Pay use a Device Account Number as well as a transition-specific dynamic security code, so your credit or debit card number is never shared by Apple or transmitted with a payment.

Apple Pay is usable in many retail stores, gas stations, and restaurants across the country. The Apple Pay function sends a vibration and beep to your phone when your payment information has been sent.

Apple Pay offers a more secure option for making purchases. Financial Services Expert, Perminder Chohan Gives Overview of Retirement History.

Inspiring, award-winning business leader and financial services expert, Perminder Choban reveals that retirement as we currently know it is a relatively new concept and provides statistics that reveal many Canadians are not preparing financially for retirement.

 RICHMOND, VANCOUVER BC– July 21, 2015 – Award-winning and inspiring business leader and financial services expert, PerminderChohan has posted a new blog on the Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network website entitled, “Retirement, A Relatively New Concept.” Even though most people think about retirement, most don’t consider the history of this concept.

Mr. Chohan clues us in, writing, “The history of retirement is just a little over 100 years old. In fact, in 1890 most people died while still employed. If their health held out beyond their ability to work, they “retired” at age 85. So, as you can see, our concept of retirement is fairly young.”

Chohan turns his attention to a New York Times article to further illustrate this point quoting, “In 1883, Chancellor Otto Von Bismarck of Germany had a problem. Marxists were threatening to take control of Europe. To help his countrymen resist their blandishments, Bismarck announced that he would pay a pension to any nonworking German over age 65. Bismarck was no dummy. Hardly anyone lived to be 65 at the time, given that penicillin would not be available for another half century. Bismarck not only co-opted the Marxists, but set the arbitrary world standard for the exact year at which old age begins and established the precedent that government should pay people for growing old.”

Chohan continues, adding, “The U.S. adopted 65 as the retirement age in 1935, and it was adopted in Canada shortly thereafter. This timeline makes the parents of the baby boomer generation retirement pioneers, as we now know it.”
