Chesapeake, Virginia (PR Buzz) January 29, 2013 -- Southside Baptist Church has been acknowledged for the exceptional services it is providing local residents of the South Norfolk area of the city of Chesapeake, VA. First, the church is allowing its new Ministry Building to be available for use by some deserving outreach groups which address community needs. Also, this Baptist Church Chesapeake Va is providing ongoing spiritual and inspirational guidance to individuals who need support. According to one member, this is a long-needed asset for the local community in this historic area of Chesapeake, VA.
For too long this older section of the city has had the need for a local, "right down the street" place for community outreach groups to meet. City revitalization projects have been ongoing for the past few years. However, those projects did not include any facility or space that would be centrally located, adequately spaced, and proper for group-sized meetings.
In just so happens that Southside Baptist Church, located at 1200 Bainbridge Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23324, has recently completed its' own expansion program with the dedication of a new Ministry Center (dubbed the 1200 after the street address of the building). Already, several groups such as New Beginnings and a local scrap-booking club, among others, are benefiting from the foresight and flexibility of the church.
Depending upon the church's own meeting schedules and those of other groups, space is available with reservations and possibly some nominal fee to cover utilities, janitorial services and the like. The church office (757-545-5532) should be contacted for more information.
Southside Baptist Church also is seeking to expand its spiritual guidance to the community by releasing a video with some New Year's inspirational thoughts. According to the pastor, the beginning of the new calendar year is the perfect time for reflection and dedication to those activities and actions that could be a blessing to others in the local community who are less fortunate.
