Nova Scotia, Canada (PRBuzz.com) December 3, 2012 -- Pat Hatt lives in Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia climate is sub artic, with lots of frail boreal forests of Pines and mixed hardwoods that are often dripping with snow and rain. The winters there are long, cold, snowy, and rainy, with short, cool and wet summers, and for the people living there it is a challenge to keep ones mind busy and spirits uplifted so people button up for the chill in the air, wear snickers and rain coats and spend much of their time indoors watching TV, and Movies.

Nonetheless, the people spend time at local Irish taverns drinking Irish Ale, or Screetch, which is the locally made rum, and listen to the local folk music with its heavy Celtic influences. Making up word games and reciting memory rhymes are often excellent past times that keep their minds active under often-dreary weather conditions.

Pat Hatt was born into that Nova Scotia environment, where rhyming is a lyrical art, and was remarkably inspired by the works of Dr. Seuss, who was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist most widely known for his children's books; Green Eggs and Ham, and The Cat in the Hat. Dr. Seuss's books are always humorous and uplifting, and in the same vain Pat's books are loaded with wisdom and humor that can be enjoyed by readers of all ages. It's easy to see the direct influence from Dr. Seuss by reading this quote from Pat Hatt's blog where he say's "Seuss can stare at the cat's caboose. For the cat let's his rhyming loose for all the kiddies out there.
So expect many and find below the Children's Books from my lair. These ones do rhyme all the way through. Thanks for the view."
Pat's books have received many rave reviews, and here is just one:
"What a great children's book! The fun rhyming and plot to the story encourages young readers to read on! The sentence structure is simple and fun. I can see this becoming a "Read it one more time" favorite and one that kids will enjoy quoting from again and again. Great lessons of forgiveness, honesty and friendship. And the adorable illustrations bring the story to life! -- By Elizabeth Brock

Recent children's book releases by Pat Hatt include:
The Honk of Zagonk- "Each year there are ancient dragon games to crown the winner of the cup of flames. The young dragons all show off their new found flame, hoping the cup will dawn their name. Although the year of Zagonk is remembered above them all because that is when the Frost Giant landed and Zagonk's honk echoed throughout dragon hall."

The Swashbuckle Chuckle- "Join One Shoe Kangaroo as he tracks down the evil Captain Frown Clown and his crew. They have stolen the magic from his town. Will One Shoe Kangaroo be able to track Captain Frown Clown down?

Boo and The Backyard Zoo- "Every day Boo floats about his haunt having everything he could ever want. He ignores the evil Nugget and his Flashy Parakeets who think they rule the streets. That is until Nugget captures Grape Face then it becomes quite the race. For Boo brings with him The Backyard Zoo to help in his quest. Will they be able to free Grape Face from Nugget's nest? Or will Nugget win?"

Cassie and The Wild Cat: Meet and Greet- "Cassie found she had a wonderful life, until this spotted wild cat entered and caused her strife. She was not about to give up without a fight and would be rid of him by night. Follow Cassie as she tries to rid herself of the Wild Cat and sweep him under the mat. From the freezer to the loo, will she chase the Wild Cat from view?."
