New Study Shows Retention and Nurturing of Talent Important to Management reports RolePoint

San Francisco, CA (PRBuzz.com) November 22, 2012 -- A new Salary and Market Insight Report from Reed Finance has provided more evidence that management is concerned over skill shortages, as well as the need for talent retention. These management positions wish to attract talent, nurture, and retain the talent they need to meet the challenges in the future.

The 2012 research report aimed at taking the pulse of employment markets by noting the 1,500 employers and employers, spanning a variety of sectors and roles, while drawing attention to areas of concern for senior management who are found within the financial industry.

Recruitment had been growing, even though the 2011 and 2012 early quarter. The trend had been growing following the market downturns in the late part of the previous decade.

The market for almost all finance professionals has been a rocky one, but the private sector is showing signs to be optimistic about in the three-to-five year forecast.

The report will likely push management to do even more recruiting before turning its focus to maintaining the quality talent found. The continuation of recruiting demand and project management roles, and includes those in the management who maintain expertise in technical areas.

According to the data compiled by the Reed Finance report, over 50% of senior managers in the hiring field (within the finance sector) worry about losing talented individuals. Another 36% of managers feel they currently have talent gaps within their respective organizations.

While 46% are proactively implementing training to develop programs and talent, 29% are using internal promotion, with another 25% using recruitment initiatives. Incentive and benefit strategies is a lacking 14%. Still, 38% of finance professionals admit they and their company does not utilize methods of nurturing or retaining talent.
