(PRBuzz.com) November 21, 2012 -- The results of Election Day 2012 revealed a deep schism between how Americans believe the country should proceed with domestic and foreign policies. Perhaps there was no greater indication of this split than the books and other media Americans sought out to reinforce their own political views. While the Communist Manifesto, a perennial favorite among leftists, remained at the top of Amazon's best selling list online, the book Interrogation of Morals by Captain Jason Meszaros unseated it at the top position for free downloads on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, Election Day in America. This was an amazing feat given that Interrogation of Morals is a self-published title by an unknown author and former soldier.

Amidst the aftermath of the Benghazi Attack, Americans were once again reminded of our obligation to combat terrorism around the world. This moral obligation and its implications for our country's future are at the heart of Meszaros' book. In 2004, he served as an intelligence officer inside Afghanistan and was responsible for interrogating many of the high value targets captured during Operation Enduring Freedom. These individuals, hardened terrorists who had committed unspeakable crimes, were senior Al Qaeda agents and others, many of whom had personal connections to Osama bin Laden.

Interrogation of Morals is not only about Captain Meszaros' time spent in Afghanistan, but also the aftermath of returning home to a country which is in the ongoing process of questioning its expanding role in the world. These questions, such as to what extent America should engage enemies in diplomacy versus conflict and how expansive should the continuing War on Terrorism become, continues to be debated among foreign policy analysts and experts. In Meszaros' book, however, the reader gets a first hand account of a soldier far away from the machinations of Washington who writes about what is required to win a conflict against a determined enemy.

As the increasing Middle East turmoil threatens to explode into regional conflict and even war, Americans will seek to understand how issues of regional instability and terrorism affect their own lives. Fortunately, in Interrogation of Morals, we are given an insider view of how the common American soldier is working to protect the nation. The book is as provocative as it is inspiring and that certainly accounts for its popularity on Amazon, where it tops the best selling list for a number of categories including Freedom & Security, Terrorism, and Politics. Once you start reading Interrogation of Morals, you'll have a difficult time putting it down. It really is that good.

"Interrogation of Morals is a great book on many levels. ...Captain Meszaros' Interrogation of Morals will stay with you long after you turn the last page. Highly recommended reading in today's media climate," D.H. Brown, reviewer. Military Writers Society of America
