The Science Behind Her Crazy Super Powers

Clarksville, TN - Very recently, the trailer for the movie 'Lucy' was released. Starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman, it is a science fiction action-thriller that follows party girl Lucy who is forced into becoming a drug mule.

She somehow absorbs the drugs and mind-advancing effects take place, turning her into a butt-kicking super powered femme fatale on the road to revenge.

The movie banks on the urban myth that human beings only use 10% of their brains. Although we may not be using 100% of our brains all of the time, the truth is that majority of the brain is active all the time.

Although we may not be able to defy physics and be like Lucy any time soon, we do have the ability to do great things with the power of the mind.

Jason & Skye Mangrum, of GetUberman.com, have written a book teaching techniques for unlocking human potential. In their book, 'Uberman: Almost Super Human', in the first chapter, it says "The subconscious part of you absorbs and retains a lot more than you can."

The rest of the book teaches how to use the power of your subconscious to manifest things and change yourself from within to experience a new reality. Despite the fictional theory behind Lucy's superpowers, the mind really does have power if one knows how to apply it.

'Lucy' hits theaters on August 8, 2014.
