Here is one of the Latest Treatments Available to those suffering and in need of an immediate Cure
Piles, also known as hemorrhoids, is a condition caused by the inflammation of the veins that are in the anus and rectum. While a common condition, many people are uncomfortable discussing it which can delay treatment. This delay in treatment can, in turn, cause the patient to suffer needlessly or it can even exacerbate the problem.
There are two types of hemorrhoids, internal and external. Because the membranes within the anal area lack nerve fibers, internal hemorrhoids are painless. External hemorrhoids, on the other hand, can be quite painful.
Piles is caused by a variety of situations and conditions such as chronic diarrhea or constipation, pregnancy (particularly in the later stages) and childbirth, obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, heredity, aging are but a few causes. Of course, prevention is the best treatment, but when hemorrhoids are present, there are several very good ayurvedic treatments for piles.
Ayurveda is a form of traditional medicine with its roots in ancient Sanskrit. However, for its more devout followers, it is a lifestyle. It encourages a balanced body, mind and spirit. In Ayurveda, piles is called 'Arsha' and is classified as dry (external) and bleeding (internal).
Ayurveda medicine uses a two pronged approach for curing and managing piles. The first is through diet and the second is through application of herbs. The patient is encouraged to eat foods such as cooked or raw carrots, fennel, green leafy vegetables, buttermilk, papaya, mango seeds and cumin in order to reduce constipation. Patients are cautioned to avoid foods such as yellow pumpkin and potato. The second prong of the treatment is topical. Some of the topical Ayurveda methods for curing external, or dry, piles include inserting raw garlic inside the rectum and applying herbs such as Mimosa pudica, Trikatu, Blumea falsamifera and Semicarpus anacardium.
Ayurvedic supplements are used to treat both internal and external piles. Abhyaristha, pirrhoids tablets and ashoghani bati are all common supplements that patients are given to relieve their symptoms and cure piles. Drinking lots of water is a necessity. Staying hydrated helps the body function more effectively and efficiently.
Onions are used as both a topical and oral cure for piles. Rub or grate about 30 grams of onion and mix with 60 grams of sugar. Add a little water and take it twice a day. Also, skinned onion that is crushed and then roasted can be applied to the affected area.
Yoga is also encouraged; mainly positions such as the cobra pose and the bow pose. Kasidadi Talia is a form of ayurvedic massage that is commonly used to treat piles as well.
