CLASSIC ZUNE HD GAME LUCKY LANES BOWLINGREVITALIZED ON iOS AND WINDOWS PHONE 8 GAME TO BE PLAYABLE AT OVER 10,000 MCDONALD'S LOCATIONS
CHICAGO (Aug 1, 2013)
- Today, Babaroga, LLC. announced that its 2009 hit,
Lucky Lanes Bowling has been revitalized on iOS and Windows Phones and can soon be played from kiosks in over 10,000 McDonald's locations nationwide. Originally a launch window title for the Zune HD, Lucky Lanes became a showpiece for the device's visual fidelity and intuitive touchscreen interface. After almost four years, Lucky Lanes is back and gracing a multitude of new platforms with exciting features - and it's free-to-play, too!
"The core, arcade spirit of Lucky Lanes that our fans know and love remains unchanged on these new platforms," said Peter Kennedy, Lead Designer at Babaroga. "But we also wanted to ensure that it lives up to, and even exceeds the standards expected of a mobile bowling game today. With that in mind, we have revamped all of the classic lanes with painstakingly detailed and animated environments. Beyond that, a new spin mechanic has been developed so that players can maneuver the ball, even after they've thrown it." But the extent of additions to the game
won't stop there, as the studio plans to add even more through updates and downloadable content. "We are extremely passionate about the games we develop," continued Kennedy. "And as such, you can expect an abundance of additional content to be added to the game over the
course of the next few weeks and months. Without giving away too many details, we have every intention of introducing weekly challenges, comprehensive stat tracking systems and more."
Lucky Lanes supports up to five players via pass-and-play, making it the ideal activity among families and friends. Plus, each player is identified by their own unique avatar and bowling ball design, so you never forget whose turn it is. Furthermore, all five of the fan-favorite lanes are
back - Death Canyon, Jungle Fever, Whale Belly, Retro lanes and Milky Way.
