(PRBuzz.com) October 11, 2012 -- Local Crime/Thriller Fiction Author Sandra Prior Invited to Speak About Her New Book 'Dangerous' At the First Get Barking and Dagenham Reading Festival On 19th October.
The first Get Barking and Dagenham Reading Festival presented by Barking and Dagenham Library Service from Wednesday 3 to Friday 19 October 2012 is a fantastic festival that will give book lovers a great opportunity to attend author events, poetry readings and workshops across the Borough. Local author Sandra Prior has been invited to speak about her new book 'Dangerous' on 19th October from 7pm to 9pm.
Dagenham, Essex - October 10, 2012 - Local crime/thrillerfiction author Sandra Prior will join an impressive lineup of speakers at the first Get Barking and Dagenham Reading Festival to be held from Wednesday 3 to Friday 19 October 2012. She has been invited to talk about her new book 'Dangerous' that is scheduled for a November release at this reading festival from 7 pm to 9pm on 19th October. Sandra will be appearing alongside bestselling crime author Kimberley Chambers who has written several bestsellers including Billie Jo, Born Evil, The Betrayer, The Feud, etc.
Unlike other writers, Sandra Prior took a different path to get where she is today. In fact, while she was raising her young children, Sandra took evening classes to complete her English and math qualifications. After that, she headed off to the University of East London -- where she earned a degree in Cultural Studies. She began working on her book with just Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Barry White, Rod Stewart, and the like to keep her company.
Excited to be a part of this reading festival, Sandra Prior says, "I'm so pleased to have been invited to speak at this event about my new book; especially when the event has included bestselling authors like Kimberley Chambers and Martina Cole who is my inspiration."
What makes 'Dangerous' intriguing is that fact that it isn't the result of years of schooling and formal writing training. Those who love reading books by Martina Cole will love taking a trip back in time to the East End's underworld in Sandra Prior's 'Dangerous.'
