A Li-ion battery is a rechargeable battery with the highest electrochemical potential. A positive terminal, a negative terminal, and an electrolyte between the terminals constitute the main parts of the battery. The basic principle of working of Li-ion batteries is to generate power when ions move from a negatively charged anode to the positively charged cathode. When the battery discharges, the movement of ions from the anode to the cathode releases energy. On the other hand, during charging, electricity from the adapter forces the ions to return to the anode in the battery. Once the adapter is removed, this cycle starts again. With time, the charge hold capacity of a Li-ion battery deteriorates because of lack of movement of ions, which are trapped in the anode. Some benefits of using Li-ion batteries include higher current density, low self-discharge rates, and minimal maintenance costs. Li-ion batteries are widely used in the consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, and power grid and renewable energy sectors.

We forecast a strong recovery for the Polish infrastructure sector, with growth averaging 3.8% over the next five years. The residential and energy sectors will be the key drivers for growth. Furthermore, a new tranche of EU funding is likely to bolster gove rnment infrastructure spending and rising GDP per capita will boost the residential construction sector.

Poland's construction experienced lukewarm growth of 1% in 2013 while more than 300 companies in the industry faced bankruptcy - including some of the country's largest builders. Following this, 2014 has shown strong signs of recovery with residential construction up 16.6% from the previous year and the government swiftly clearing the road construction backlog and awarding new contracts.

Sentiment appears to be recovering, providing momentum for growth in 2015. This will be driven by government housing policies, as well as the EU 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework. Poland will once again be the biggest beneficiary of EU funding and much of this will be targeted at infrastructure - to bring Poland's quality of infrastructure in line with developed EU countries, as well as better integrate Central and Eastern Europe.

According to information from the Supreme Audit Office, 60.1% of allocated funds will be funnelled into the infrastructure and environment sectors, accounting for EUR27.4bn.
     *  We estimate growth in the airport subsector in 2014 was strong at 5.9%, with some of the large projects, such as Krakow airport expansion, drawing to a...

    Core Views

     *  Ireland's economy will remain the fastest growing in the eurozone in 2015.
     *  Domestic demand will become the main growth driver in the country, supported by falling unemployment, rising wages, and the collapse in global oil prices.
     *  The government has made significant progress narrowing the country's budget deficit, suggesting the worst of austerity measures are now in the past.
     *  Although the increasingly fragmented Irish political system is clouding the outlook for the 2016 election, recent developments suggest limited chance of a potentially destabilising 'grand coalition' being formed or Sinn Fein playing a role in the next coalition government.
     *  The ruling Fine Gael/Labour coalition's hopes of remaining in power will rest on its ability to take credit for the country's strong economic recovery.

While we have slightly downgraded our 2015 growth forecast for Saudi Arabia's construction industry to 10% from 10.5% previously, we continue to believe that infrastructure and construction sectors offer both scale and growth opportunities over our 10 year forecast period to 2024 . Private sector caution over the impact of lower oil prices, along with the deterioration of the regional security situation, will see investment dampened slightly. However, we expect government investment in affordable housing and infrastructure to remain robust.

     Key Trends informing BMI's View:

     *  The continued dramatic fall in oil prices is not an immediate threat to infrastructure financing in Saudi Arabia, given the country's significant foreign reserves and centrality of infrastructure development to economic diversification plans.
     *  Some industrial construction projects may be cancelled or postponed, specifically in the petrochemicals sector. That said, manufacturing, metals and chemical projects should remain on track.
     *  The security situations in both Iraq and Yemen have deteriorated heavily in recent months and have now spilt over into violent attacks in Saudi Arabia. Not only does this raise the chance that a Saudi military intervention in either state will occur - raising regional tension and making an attack within Saudi Arabia by AQAP or IS even more likely - but may also drain attention and funding away from major infrastructure projects.
     *  We forecast that the transport sector will grow in real terms by 7.8% in 2015. With many of the major projects under development being awarded over the past four years - the majority of which will reach completion by 2018.
     *  We are forecasting a bounce back in 2015 in the residential and non-residential sector, with 9.8% real growth.
     *  Owing to heavy capital investment into the energy and utilities sector, it will be the outperforming infrastructure segment over our forecast period in terms of growth. We...

With approximately one physician per 2,000 people in Bolivia according to the World Bank, the need for quality surgical care is great. Many people lack access to the most basic surgical care and ASSH and ReSurge International are teaming up to help bridge the gap.

On Saturday, May 2, The American Society for Surgery of the Hand has deployed a 16-person team on a surgical trip to La Paz, Bolivia, for two weeks. The team is comprised of volunteers from around the United States and France and is co-sponsored by California-based NGO ReSurge International.

The team was personally invited by ReSurge international medical partner and renowned Bolivian surgeon Dr. Jorge Terrazas. Dr. Terrazas became the founding president of the Bolivian Hand Surgery Association in 1998 and has been re-elected on three separate occasions. He is currently serving his fourth term.

While in La Paz, the volunteers will be working with Dr. Terrazas’s team to perform a variety of reconstructive surgical procedures and will likely see patients with congenital hand abnormalities and survivors of burn injuries. In addition to performing surgery, the volunteers will work with the local team to build capacity and strengthen surgical skills.

The trip marks the beginning of a historic partnership to address the severe need for reconstructive surgical care and hand surgery in Bolivia. It was formally announced last year at ReSurge’s annual Transformation Gala in San Francisco by ASSH President Dr. Scott Kozin.

“Collaboration between the Touching Hands Project of the American Society of the Hand (ASSH) and ReSurge will better the hand care of the Bolivian people. The proficiency of the ASSH hand surgeons combined with the international reputation of ReSurge will provide an exceptional outreach experience. We look forward to hearing about their experiences and to seeing their worthy work,” said Scott H. Kozin, MD, Team Leader, Touching Hands Project, American Society for Surgery of the Hand

ASSH members volunteering in Bolivia include: surgeons Gavin D. O'Mahony, MD (Oklahoma City, OK) and Stuart M. Hilliard, MD, FACS (Denton, TX); and hand therapists Cynthia Cooper, OT, CHT (Scottsdale, AZ) and Jolene Anderson, OT, CHT (Riverbank, CA).

    About Hand Surgeons
Hand surgeons have received specialized additional training in the treatment of hand problems in addition to their board certified specialty training in orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery or general surgery.  To become members of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, hand surgeons must have completed a full year of such additional training and must pass a rigorous certifying examination.

Many hand surgeons also have expertise with problems of the elbow, arm, and shoulder.  Some hand surgeons treat only children, some treat only adults, and some treat both.  Common problems treated include carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, wrist pain, sports injuries of the hand and wrist, fractures of the hand, wrist, and forearm, and trigger fingers.  Other problems treated by hand surgeons include arthritis, nerve and tendon injuries, and congenital limb differences (birth defects).

Not all problems treated by a hand surgeon require surgery.  Hand surgeons often recommend non-surgical treatments, such as medication, splints, therapy, and injections.

    About the ASSH
The mission of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand is to advance the science and practice of hand and upper extremity surgery through education, research, and advocacy on behalf of patients and practitioners.

    About ReSurge International
ReSurge International (formerly Interplast) provides reconstructive surgical care for the poor and builds surgical capacity in developing countries. We restore the dreams of those with deformities and injuries, and impact the world by renewing the health of thousands of children and adults each year so they can go to school, provide for their families and contribute to society. Since 1969, with Stanford roots, ReSurge has provided more than 105,000 surgeries in developing countries.  Learn more: www.resurge.org

The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is the hormone produced by the placenta in women during the pregnancy. The term is quite common today mainly due to the presence of several brands selling HCG fat burning oral drops and injectables for weight loss programs comprising of very low calorie diet recommendations. However, due to reports of different people coming up with issues, some fraudulent companies misleading the customers and other reports, the organizations like FTC and FDA finally assorted stringent measures in sending warnings to stop their sales within 15 days notice period.

Major Breakthrough in Fibromyalgia or Pain Treatment with HCG

The report of effective pain relief treatment with HCG injections was released by Dr. Forrest Tennant, MD in the American Academy of Pain Medicine annual meeting. The study of the HCG injections given to fibromyalgia sufferers and those with chronic intractable pain showed highly effective results. These patients would otherwise live on high morphine dose of 120mg per day.

Dr. Tennant practicing in Veract Intractable Pain Clinic, West Covina in California is an eminent physician specialized for treating chronic pain disorders. He started his research with the HCG injections on pain treatment after the reports came from various sources that overweight people suffering from painful symptoms got notable relief using HCG diet potions. He began his research on 12 patients with severe pain complications for over 5 years including fibromyalgia, headaches, spinal pain and arthritis taking high doses of morphine ranging from 500-1500mg. Alongside continued pain, these patients had problems such as

    Insomnia

    Peripheral pain

Hyperactive sympathetic symptoms in the nervous system

    abnormal neuroplasticity

During the research, Dr. Tennant replaced morphine doses with HCG (500-1000 units/ day). The patients reported notable improvement in the pain symptoms within a week of continued usage. These patients later continued the treatment with 1 to 3 HCG injections in a week for the next one year. Many of them were able to reduce the use of morphine to about 50%. There was positive results including some pain free hours, greater energy, higher concentration, and reduced depression levels to name a few.

    HCF Functionality in Pain Relief

As per the revelations of Dr. Tennant, the HCG reverses the anomalous neuroplasticity and induces a neutralizing effect on the suppressed hormones under the influence of opioid. HCG directly acts on the brain and neurotic cells to heal inflammation and strengthen them. Dr. Tennant conducted a research where HCG injections were given to 30 to 40 patients with intractable pain complications. He mentioned that about 85 to 90% of these patients were able to recover with positive outcome.

Prospects of HCG in Chronic Pain Treatment

As of now, this is the beginning and patients will have to wait for long to see HCG as an alternative for better pain treatment and its consideration in the first-line medicines. However, this is a better option for patients with prolonged chronic pain history who did not gain positive results from other medicines. The treatment is also beneficial in switching from the use of narcotics consumption that has vigorous side effects. The only concern about the HCG is that it has to be given in form of injections. The physicians are highly optimistic about the lesser side effects of HCG and low cost fibromyalgia treatment compared to the FDA approved medicines available today.

Have you noticed that we are starting to be bombarded with images of troops in the streets?  Have you noticed that the term “martial law” is coming up a lot in movies, news broadcasts and even in television commercials?  In recent years, it seems like the solution to almost every major crisis involves bringing in troops.

In fact, it has already gotten to the point where when something really bad happens a lot of Americans immediately cry out for troops to be brought in.  And we are seeing the same patterns over and over again.

Just remember what happened in Ferguson – protesters were whipped up to a frenzy, when the riots began the police were ordered to stand down and not intervene, and finally National Guard troops were brought in as the “solution” to a crisis that had escalated wildly out of control.

This is the exact same pattern that we are witnessing in Baltimore, and as you will see below, National Guard troops all over the nation have been training for this exact type of scenario.

A couple of decades ago, many Americans would have regarded the notion of “martial law in America” as absolutely unthinkable, but these days the threat of civil unrest is causing an increasing number of Americans to embrace the idea of troops patrolling our city streets.

The anger toward the police that we see in the city of Baltimore is very real, but there also seem to be a lot of signs that the events of the past several days have been orchestrated and manipulated.

This is something that I covered in my previous article entitled “12 Unanswered Questions About The USA 1Baltimore Riots That They Don’t Want Us To Ask“.  But what we have found out since then is that high school kids appear to have been “herded” by the police into the Mondawmin neighborhood in Baltimore when school was let out on Monday.

When school let out that afternoon, police were in the area equipped with full riot gear.

According to eyewitnesses in the Mondawmin neighborhood, the police were stopping busses and forcing riders, including many students who were trying to get home, to disembark.

Cops shut down the local subway stop. They also blockaded roads near the Mondawmin Mall and Frederick Douglass High School, which is across the street from the mall, and essentially corralled young people in the area.

That is, they did not allow the after-school crowd to disperse.

Even though most of the kids did not seem to have any interest in participating in the much-hyped “purge”, it looks like authorities were determined to get their “purge” one way or another.

The following was posted to Facebook by a Baltimore teacher named Meghann Harris…

Police were forcing busses to stop and unload all their passengers.

usa 02Then, [Frederick Douglass High School] students, in huge herds, were trying to leave on various busses but couldn’t catch any because they were all shut down.

No kids were yet around except about 20, who looked like they were waiting for police to do something.

The cops, on the other hand, were in full riot gear, marching toward any small social clique of students…It looked as if there were hundreds of cops.

Another teacher seems to confirm the other accounts that you just read.

A teacher at Douglass High School, who asked not to be identified, tells a similar story: “When school was winding down, many students were leaving early with their parents or of their own accord.”

Those who didn’t depart early, she says, were stranded.

Many of the students still at school at that point, she notes, wanted to get out of the area and avoid any Purge-like violence.

Some were requesting rides home from teachers.

But by now, it was difficult to leave the neighborhood. “I rode with another teacher home,” this teacher recalls, “and we had to route our travel around the police in riot gear blocking the road.

The majority of my students thought what was going to happen was stupid or were frightened at the idea.

Very few seemed to want to participate in ‘the purge.’“USA

This paints a very different picture than we are getting from the media.

But once the violence and rioting did start, the police were nowhere to be found.

In fact, it is being reported that the mayor of Baltimore actually ordered the police to “stand down” and allow the chaos to spiral out of control.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake ordered the police to stand down as riots and looting broke out across they city, a new report claims.

According to a senior law enforcement source, the embattled mayor effectively told her officers to do nothing as the city began to burn – raising questions as to whether the rioting could have been stopped.

Finally, after several hours of madness, the order was given and the National Guard was brought in to quell the rioting.

And it just so happens to turn out that National Guard troops all over the nation have recently been engaged in something called “civil unrest training”…

Many of the Guardsmen are trained for a situation just like the one in Maryland.

It’s called “civil unrest training,” and it was recently completed in Tennessee with a local police department.

Troops have also trained in Maryland and Colorado.

Troops have also trained in Maryland and Colorado.“It really helped put it into perspective the person we are going to be up against – the rioter, the unruly person,” said one National Guard official.

The training includes gas mask training and practice with shields and batons.

    Isn’t that convenient?

There are so many instances in which “training” seems to eerily correspond with actual events.

That is one of the reasons why so many people are concerned about Jade Helm and all of the other very elaborate military exercises that are being held around the country in 2015.

In fact, there has been so much concern about Jade Helm that the governor of Texas has ordered the Texas Guard to monitor Jade Helm…Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the Texas Guard to monitor federal military exercises in Texas after some citizens have lit up the Internet saying the maneuvers are actually the prelude to martial law.

The operation causing rampant suspicions is a new kind of exercise involving elite teams such as the SEALs and Green Berets from four military branches training over several states from July 15 to Sept. 15 Called Jade Helm 15, the exercise is one of the largest training operations done by the military in response to what it calls the evolving nature of warfare.

About 1,200 special operations personnel will be involved and move covertly among the public. USA 04

They will use military equipment to travel between seven Southwestern states from Texas to California.

The following is a map from Jade Helm materials, and it designates Utah and Texas as “hostile territory”.

Yes, I know that this is supposed to be an “exercise”, but even so this is highly inappropriate to say the least.

Lastly, I want to share with you an AARP commercial that appears to have a subliminal message in the background about martial law.

Why in the world would a television commercial aimed at senior citizens talk about martial law?

    I have no idea.

If you listen very carefully to the video posted below, you will hear the following message in the background…

Riots nationwide have prompted local governments to declare martial law.

The President is asking that citizens find safety and remain calm.

Authorities are working to contain the outbreak.

    Source : http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/are-we-being-psychologically-conditioned-to-accept-martial-law-in-america_04302015
